The Dobbin Atlantic Scholarship Programme has been initiated to support the continued development of academic, artistic, cultural and economic links between Atlantic Canada and Ireland.
Accordingly, Canadian applicants must be living and working in one of the four Atlantic Provinces, namely New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island. Irish applicants must be seeking to travel to one of these provinces to conduct their research.
Applications are welcome from applicants of all ages, and from all academic disciplines, whose work has the potential to further the objectives of this programme and the mission of this Foundation, as outlined elsewhere on this website, here and here.
Applicants must be permanent residents of either country, and have been living there for at least three of the past five years. For further information, please view the FAQ page.
An external panel of assessors from Atlantic Canada and Ireland will review and assess applications in the light of the stated aims and objectives of the Dobbin Atlantic Scholarship Programme, and scholarships will be awarded to those applicants whom the assessment panel decide will best deliver on these objectives.
