Bridging Divides: Art & Design in Canada

Organized by the Craig Dobbin Chair of Canadian Studies at University College Dublin, in collaboration with the Association for Canadian Studies in Ireland, and with generous support from UCD College of Arts and Celtic Studies and UCD Humanities Institute, this one-day symposium on Canadian art and design will be held at Newman House, in central Dublin, from 10:00 to 4:00 on Friday, May 8th.

There is no registration fee for this event, and all are welcome. The symposium will consist of six papers, by five Canadian and one Irish scholar/s. The papers as a whole will cover themes concerning art dealing with the subject of Canada’s First Nations peoples, as well as aspects of the relationship between social developments and art in Canada.
