Craig Dobbin Professor of Canadian Studies – call for applications

UCD (University College Dublin) is now inviting applications for the temporary 10 month appointment of the Craig Dobbin Professor of Canadian Studies, in their College of Arts and Humanities for the academic years commencing September 2019 and September 2020.

Expected start dates:

2019-2020 Academic year: 1 September 2019 (for a 10 months appointment).

2020-2021 Academic year: 1 September 2020 (for a 10 months appointment).

The Craig Dobbin Chair of Canadian Studies was instituted from a generous endowment made to University College Dublin by ICUF Founding Chairman, Dr Craig Dobbin, in partnership with Prof. John Kelly, former Registrar of UCD, and founding Executive Director of ICUF.

The post is designed to promote Canadian Studies in UCD and the wider academic community in Ireland.

The successful candidate will have a significant track record of teaching and research, at a senior level, relating to Canada in a discipline that is represented within the UCD College of Arts and Humanities.  Preference will be given to a candidate whose research interests will enhance current research programmes within UCD and research links between UCD and Canada.

 

Full Professor Salary Scale: €115,887 to €145,660 per annum
