We are pleased to confirm that Minister Pat Carey has confirmed that the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs will fund ICUF’s Irish Language Programme for the coming academic year, 2011 – 2012.
While the amount pledged represents a decrease on the budget of the previous two years, there is a momentum gathering around this initiative, in both Canada and Ireland, and while economies have been made, no compromises will be made on the programme, and we are confident that in 2011-2012 we will deliver a programme which will build on, and add substantially to the successes of programmes 1 and 2.
