It is with great sadness that we learnt of the untimely passing of the Honorable Jim Flaherty PC. A true friend to Ireland, he was a great supporter of the work of ICUF, and the board and executive are deeply grateful for all his efforts in the support of our scholarship exchange programme. Our deepest sympathies are with his wife and three sons.

His state funeral is scheduled to be held tomorrow, on April 16, 2014 at St. James Cathedral in Toronto.

May he rest in peace – ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
