The sun shone again on another wonderful Awards Ceremony hosted on June 20th by Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, Loyola Hearn in his fine residence in Ranelagh, Dublin. This year we welcomed the Minister for Education, Ruairi Quinn T.D. to present awards to scholars. In one of his final public engagements as Minister, Minister Quinn spoke from the heart of the vital importance of travel in educational development. In the days after our Awrds Ceremony, after may years of service to the State, Minister Quinn announced his intention to retire from political life in the coming days. The board and executive of ICUF thank Minister Quinn for his support, and we all wish him the very best for his retirement.
